Men’s tennis puts its past in the rearview

The Ithaca College men’s tennis team does not have a Liberty League Championship playoff win on its program resume, but is aiming for the title with a second year head coach and a hefty and balanced roster after compiling a 6-10 record in 2024-25.

This year, the Bombers have 13 players, which includes a strong balance of experience with six upperclassmen and youthfulness with seven underclassmen, compared to eight total players on the entire roster in 2024-25. The Bombers have strength in their depth, something they struggled with in the past.

Women’s tennis focuses on longevity to maintain momentum

With a mix of new and old faces, the Ithaca College women’s tennis team is working to push past its growing pains. The Bombers finished last season with a 6-12 record, their third in a row below 50%. Now, the team is 3-2 after starting the season, with three back-to-back victories against Hartwick College, Daemen University and Drew University.

The team is led by second-year head coach Mari Mitchell. Mitchell took to the helm after men’s and women’s head coach Tom Rishcoff transitioned into just coaching the men’s team in 2024. Despite the numbers, Mitchell said she is looking for a repeat of last season’s pacing.

Men’s lacrosse hopes to take next step toward NCAA Tournament

After finishing the 2025 season 10-9 overall and returning to the Liberty League playoffs for the first time since 2021, the Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team enters this spring with hunger and unfinished business.

This season, there is an organizational belief that this team can get back to the Liberty League semifinals and make a run for an NCAA berth for the first time since 2018.

It is officially the beginning of spring sports at Ithaca College, which marks the start of the Ithaca College women’s lacrosse 2026 season. The Bombers finished their 2025 season with a 14-7 overall record, earning them a spot in the NCAA Division III Championship after securing their second title as Liberty League Champions in back-to-back seasons. After going 7-3 in Liberty League play and advancing to NCAAs, the Bombers’ season ended when they lost in the second round to No. 2 Middlebury College 20-5.

However, this season, the Bombers are setting their sights on their goals with renewed determination and a fresh set of challenges ahead. The Bombers are focusing on keeping their gameplay smoother so that they can focus on regular season matchups more beneficially along with their main goal of earning their third Liberty League title.

After a heartbreaking end to the 2025 season, the Ithaca College baseball team is returning with a fresh lineup that will be quite different from what the Bombers have trotted out the past couple of seasons. The Liberty League title was not the only thing the Bombers left behind in 2025. The team graduated six of its nine starters from the team’s Liberty League Championship game, including mainstays like outfielder Collin Feeney ’25, shortstop Riley Brawdy ’25 and third baseman Ryan Laubscher ’25.
