Gymnastics wraps up season at nationals

Senior Megan Harrington wrapped up her career with three All-American titles at the Division III National Collegiate Gymnastics Association championships on March 18-19 at the SUNY Brockport campus in Brockport, New York. Harrington participated in the All-Around and came in 10th with a score of 37.925.

She scored a personal best of 9.725 on the floor routine, in addition to scoring 9.475 on vault, 9.4 on uneven bars and 9.325 on balance beam. She became the 17th Ithaca College student to earn All-American honors. She also kept a streak alive, as this is the 15th consecutive season that a Bomber gymnast has earned All-American honors.

On March 19, Harrington competed with her teammate sophomore Kendra Balcerak in the individual event finals.

Harrington had two additional career bests in the uneven bars and the vault, where she earned a 9.7 and 9.6, respectively. She tied for ninth on the bars and was 10th on the vault. Both performances gave her her second and third All-American honors. Balcerak tied for 16th on the balance beam with a score of 9.1.

This was the last meet of the season for the Bombers.
