Ellen J Staurowsky, professor in the Department of Sports Media at Ithaca College is helping to change the sporting landscape worldwide through her advocacy work in Title IX, pay equity in sports and representation of women in sports media.
Joe Fitzgerald '93 was the starting quarterback during his time with Ithaca College. This past summer, Fitzgerald was one of 120 religious chaplains invited to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

During his time at Ithaca College, Joe Fitzgerald ’93 led his football team to its third and most recent national title in 1991 as quarterback. Since then, he was a member of the 1996 United States Olympic handball team and was inducted to the college’s Hall of Fame in 2017, all while serving the Catholic seminary since 2001. 
Over the summer, Meghan Musnicki '05 became the oldest American women rower in Olympic history by competing with the U.S. women's eight at age 41. The average age for this year’s U.S. women’s eight is around 29.7 years old

Since the end of the 2023 Ithaca College Bombers’ football season, All-American graduate student defensive back Derek Slywka has been training to get a shot in the National Football League. 
Junior guard Logan Wendell became the 30th player in the Ithaca College men's basketball program history to reach 1,000 career points in a game against Clarkson University on Feb. 10. He is just the 12th Bombers player to achieve this in under 75 games.

This was a historic season for junior guard Logan Wendell, who scored his 1,000th career point in a matchup against the Clarkson University Golden Knights on Feb. 10 to become the 30th player in program history to accomplish this feat. 
First-year quarterback Colin Schumm was forced to step into the starting role after graduate student quarterback A.J. Wingfield was injured against Union College. Schumm racked up a 4–2 record through six starts, only losing to ranked opponents.
