A portion of South Aurora Street will be closed April 25 through May 17 to continue unfinished work, said Cliff Murphy, supervisor of streets for the City of Ithaca.
The street will be closed from Hillview Place through the city line, which is located just below Rogan’s Corner. A detour will redirect traffic from Danby Road to Coddington Road to Hudson Street and back to South Aurora Street.
Murphy said the construction includes repairing drainage structures, replacing a pipe and repaving the 600, 700 and 800 blocks of South Aurora Street. He said the May 17 end date is to ensure work will be finished before Ithaca College’s Commencement, which is May 22.
