Students, faculty and staff at the college can now adjust the online directory with privacy settings.
In response to student concerns about privacy issues on the Internet, the college made the online directory more secure and informative, said Doreen Hettich-Atkins, coordinator of special services and programs in the Department of Student Affairs and Campus Life.
Members of the college community can make information available only to college students and employees or add additional information. Default information that will be available upon login includes name, school year, class year, major and e-mail address.
There will be an option to hide any or all information from people outside the college or to enter additional information, such as an alternate e-mail address, instant messenger screen name or personal Web address.
Directory information can be removed completely at the discretion of both the student and Hettich-Atkins.
