Three additional Park Scholar awards will be given to students entering their junior year, according to Dianne Lynch, dean of the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
Beginning in spring 2008, sophomores in the school will be eligible to apply for the award and join the program as juniors the following fall. Transfer and international students will not be eligible. Previously, the award was only awarded to incoming freshmen.
Like the existing Park scholarships, the new two-year awards will cover the full cost of attendance and include stipends for living expenses, books and a computer purchase of $2,500.
The terms of eligibility and selection have not been finalized, Lynch said.
