A firearm was discharged at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning in the 100 block of Kendall Avenue, according to a Public Safety Alert released by the college.
The bullet, which reportedly came from the area of a nearby party, went through a bedroom window and lodged in a mattress, according to the alert. Residents reported hearing similar gunshot-like sounds between 1 and 1:45 a.m., according to the alert.
The Tompkins Country Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. Anyone with any information should contact the Investigations Unit of the Sheriff’s Office at 257-1345.
