A female Ithaca College student was struck by a vehicle around 7:30 p.m. yesterday near the T-Lot outside of Terrace 2.
The student was taken to Cayuga Medical Center, according to Master Patrol Officer Charles Ross.
Ithaca Police, an ambulance and a fire truck arrived after two students who witnessed the event called 911.
Sophomore Peter Friedland and freshman Luke Robinson were walking back from basketball practice when they saw a blue Pontiac Grand Am hit the victim.
“I turned around and I just saw the body rolling off the hood of the car,” he said.
Friedland and Robinson said they ran over to the student, asked if she was OK and told her not to move, but said she just mumbled incoherently.
Friedland said the student was moving her legs when she was placed on a stretcher. He said there was no blood at the scene of the accident.
As of press time, the victim’s condition was unknown.
