Down 4–1 heading into the top of the ninth, the Bombers put together a five-run inning, scoring four with two outs, to beat Gettysburg College 6–4 today on the road.
The Blue and Gold received some help from the Bullets who made three errors in the ninth inning.
Senior Dylan Perez and sophomore Matt Streich both went 3-for-5 for the Bombers. Perez brought the Blue and Gold to within one with a single in the ninth.
Sophomore Aaron Sapp picked up the win for the Blue and Gold to improve to 3–0 on the season. He let up three earned runs on nine hits through eight innings.
Freshman Tucker Healy closed out the game for the Bombers and earned his second save of the season.
The South Hill squad continues its road trip at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Washington College in Chestertown, Md.
