The baseball team extended its win streak to three games in its 9–7 win over Washington College in extra innings today.
The Bombers jumped out in front 6–1, scoring three runs in both the second and third innings, but the Shoremen came back and scored six runs in the next two innings to take a 7–6 lead.
Senior Dylan Perez knocked in the tying run with an RBI groundout in the sixth to eventually send the game into extra innings.
Junior Brian Grastorf, freshman Conor Thompson and seniors Matt Samela and Kurt Bednarcyk began the 10th inning with four-straight walks. Bednarcyk walked in the go-ahead run to pick up a career-high four RBIs on the game. Senior Dylan Perez added an insurance run on an RBI groundout.
Sophomore Dan Lynch got the win and improved to 2–1 on the season as he pitched five shutout innings in relief, allowing just two hits.
The Blue and Gold wrap up their road trip against DeSales University at 1 p.m. tomorrow in Center Valley, Pa.
