The softball team continued its hot streak yesterday, increasing its win streak to seven games, as the Bombers took down Stevens Institute of Technology in a doubleheader at Kostrinsky Field.
The Blue and Gold shut out the Ducks, who had never had a softball team before this year, in both games, winning 12–0 and 14–0 in five innings.
The Bombers set a new single-game school record with seven doubles. Freshman Jennifer Biondi led the team with a school-record three.
With the win the Bombers improved to 11–5 and picked up their first wins in conference play.
The South Hill squad looks to continue its winning streak as it takes on SUNY-Cortland at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Kostrinsky Field.
