A person was assaulted and injured at 1:14 a.m. Saturday outside the stairwell of Terrace 7, according to Laura Durling, assistant director for administrative services for Public Safety.
She said a person called 911 to report the injured person and an ambulance brought the person to Cayuga Medical Center. The perpetrator is known and the investigation is pending.
Public Safety was notified by 911. Durling said Public Safety receives calls for help from campus phones and blue lights, but if people call from other phones like cell phones when they are on campus, they will be directed to the Tompkins County 911 center on Brown Road.
