We’ve all been anxiously awaiting the arrival of a love interest for “Glee’s” Kurt Hummel and back in September whispers about Darren Criss filling the role of the cute, gay rival Glee club star who Kurt falls for began to swell. Now, those rumors are substantiated in the form of a too-adorable-for-words rendition of “Teenage Dream,” sung by Criss and a cadre of Whiffenpoof-esque glee boys at a private academy.
The episode introducing Criss’ character is set to premier Tuesday, coming off the heels of a kill-me-now hiatus following the Rocky Horror Picture Show episode. What are your thoughts on the potential couple? EW reports that Criss’ character acts like more of a mentor to Kurt…but if I were a writer on the “Glee” staff, I would take this opportunity and milk it for all that it’s worth.
What better way to keep people watching than to have them constantly guessing when that inevitable kiss will happen? Just don’t tease us too long, Ryan Murphy.
Now all the show needs is a soulful, sassy black man to counter Mercedes…[insert plug for myself here].
