Last weekend, seven vehicle entries and four larcenies were reported to Public Safety. Tom Dunn, Public Safety investigator, said all of the crimes took place in and around the Circle Apartments. Items stolen included GPS devices, tools, iPods and a car.
“There were no signs of forced entry in the vehicles,” said Dunn. “So we want to encourage people to be cautious and lock your vehicles.”
A 2006 blue/green Chrysler PT Cruiser with New York license plate number EKG2293 was also stolen from the Circle Apartments. Dunn said it is unclear whether any of the incidents are related but investigations are currently underway.
“The advice I’d give to people is just to use common sense, like locking your car, to prevent more larcenies,” said Dunn.
Those with additional information pertaining to these incidents are encouraged to call The Office of Public Safety or leave an anonymous voice mail message at 607-274-1060.
