That didn’t last long. After a relatively successful inaugural event last summer, the Nateva Music & Camping Festival has been canceled. The festival was held last year in Oxford, Maine over the Fourth of July weekend. For a startup festival, it boasted a surprisingly impressive lineup with a mixture of electronic and folk acts. Some of the performers included The Flaming Lips, She and Him, Passion Pit and one of my favorite electronic acts, Ghostland Observatory.
Unfortunately it seems as though organizers had some trouble confirming and scheduling groups this year, which led to the eventual cancellation. Some of the expected performers included Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Guster, John Butler Trio and Donna the Buffalo. When will the northeast get a solid music festival?
