The men’s lacrosse team suffered a 13–4 loss yesterday at the hands of No. 5 SUNY-Cortland.
The Blue and Gold held the Red Dragons scoreless in the first period, while netting goals from junior midfielder Ryan Lowe and junior attack Tom Mongelli. Mongelli also scored the final goal of the contest giving him a team-high 16 goals on the season.
Senior goaltender David Gal recorded a season best 17 saves in the loss. He faced 45 shots — the most he has seen all season.
The Bombers were held scoreless through the second and third periods while Cortland tallied 11 unanswered goals. The Red Dragons were led by senior attack Jay DiStefano who netted a hat trick and added an assist .
