I am planning on going to the Farmer’s Market this week! Buying local is super sustainable, and not to mention super delicious. And the farmer’s market is also working to be even more environmentally friendly by evoking a three-year program to switch over from plastic bags. The bags they are replacing them with, bio bags, are made of resin consisting of starches, glycerin and other corn, canola or sunflower-derived substances. The bags will compost between 2 to 7 weeks. The switch will begin on June 1st! Another reason to run to the market for some tasty treats.
