The men’s outdoor track and field team competed at Cornell University for the fourth and final time Sunday, participating in the Big Red Invitational, at the Robert J. Kane Sports Complex.
Senior and team co-captain Max Orenstein provided the Bombers with their only win of the meet when he won the 200-meter dash in 21.65 seconds, meeting the ECAC qualifying standard. Junior Dan Moloney came up just short of that standard in the 400-meter hurdles, where he finished third with a time of 54.91 seconds.
Freshman Emmett Dressler finished second in the javelin throw with a hurl of 51.70 meters and sophomore Matt Confer finished 10th in the 110-meter hurdles, doing so in 15.47 seconds.
The Bombers also began competing in the New York State Collegiate Track Conference Decathlon on Sunday at Nazareth College in Rochester, N.Y. They will resume competition there at 10 a.m. today for the second and final day of the meet.
