The men’s outdoor track and field team finished 51st out of 82 teams yesterday at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio. It was a showing highlighted by sophomore Chris Mastrosimone, who was named the program’s 26th All-American.
Mastrosimone earned the honor for the second straight year in the 400-meter dash, and is the Bombers’ only athlete to do so in that event. He finished fifth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.96 seconds.
In addition to Mastrosimone’s showing, senior co-captain Kyle Devins finished 17th in the long jump with a mark of 6.57 meters. Also, fellow senior co-captain Max Orenstein finished 14th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.15 seconds.
