The second tier of runners on the men’s cross country team got a chance to shine Saturday, leading the Bombers to a sixth-place finish in a 14-team field today at the Hamilton Invitational at Hamilton College in Clinton, N.Y.
Junior Chris Lotsbom was the Bombers’ top runner, finishing ninth out of 115 competitors with a time of 29:06. Senior Tyler Murray finished 17th in the eight-kilometer race in 29:41 and junior Joseph Lu finished 19th in 29:51.
Rounding out the South Hill Squad’s top competitors, freshman Anthony Altobelli finished 34th in 30:46, junior Matthew Kastler finished 74th in 32:50 and freshman Mason Mann finished 90th in 34:32.
The South Hill squad wraps up its regular season at 11:45 a.m. next Saturday at the Inter-Regional Rumble, hosted by Oberlin College, in Oberlin, Ohio.
