I know I blogged about Phantogram a few posts ago, but the EP is out now and it is thoroughly awesome. I opted not to do a full review, but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy naming them for Song of the Week.
One of the best songs on the new release is “Turning Into Stone.” While most of the band’s material features main vocals by Sarah Barthel, this track features an equal balance between Barthel and guitarist Josh Carter. Phantogram experiments with brass and electronic sonic elements to create a ghastly song structure.
