This week we had a nice reprieve from the usual cat viral videos, or even worse, viral statuses, that normally grace Facebook newsfeeds. Instead, we had a video that actually promoted a prominent social issue—marriage equality.
An Australian marriage equality activist group produced a heartwarming video that chronicles the dating stages of a couple from the perspective of one person in the couple. At the end of the video, it’s revealed that the couple is gay as one man proposes to his now-visible boyfriend. See it for yourself here.
Aside from being a beautifully shot video, the clip also sports a sentimental soundtrack. The song that’s heard is Aussie dreamwave up-and-comer Oliver Tank’s, “Last Night I Heard Everything in Slow Motion.”
On this track, Tank fosters a harmonious marriage between classical string instruments and softer electronic motifs.
