The gymnastics team continued its winning streak this weekend with a 181.100- 145.600 victory against Wilson College during yesterday’s meet in Chambersburg, Pa.
The Blue and Gold’s beam routines accounted for 44.450 of their 181.100 total points. Senior Kay Gordon took first place with a score of 9.550 and won the all-around competition.
Sophomore Shilanna Gallo added her highest bar score of the season yesterday, registering a 9.425. Gallo also snuck past junior Chelsea Robie by two-tenths of a point for first career win on the uneven bars.
Sophomore Meredith Daniels placed high in the standings for the second consecutive week, taking second on the vault (9.275) and fourth in the floor exercise (9.225). Daniels’ floor exercise routine was the Bombers’ third highest performance, as graduate student Justine Picciano (9.550) took first and senior Lauren Moroch (9.375) placed third.
The South Hill squad will compete at the Big Red Invitational at 1 p.m. Saturday at Cornell University.
