The men’s tennis team lost to Hobart College yesterday in a 9-0 shutout. The match was between two regionally ranked in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Senior captain Jimmy Newton lost his match in singles play to Hobart junior Bruce Grant 6-2, 6-7 and 10-8. Junior Kyle Riether lost his match in third singles to Statesmen junior Sam DeLuccia in straight sets.
The Bombers return to action at 4 p.m. Thursday on the Wheeler Tennis Courts against Empire 8 Conference foe Hartwick College.
