The women’s golf team posted a team score of 670 – the squad’s third-lowest two-round score of the season – as part of a fourth-place effort in this weekend’s Jack Leaman Women’s Championship hosted by Amherst College. Today’s final round was played at The Orchards in South Hadley, Mass., the site of the 2004 US Women’s Open.
The Blue and Gold finished behind Amherst College, Williams College and Middlebury College – all nationally ranked squads.
The Bombers finished the first round with a score of 337 and rounded out the event with a second round score of 333. The team was led by freshman Sharon Li, who finished fourth in individual scoring with a weekend total of 158. Junior Jackie Young followed closely behind with a score of 168 for the tournament.
The South Hill squad will be closing out its season next weekend in Pittsford, N.Y. at the Nazareth Spring Invitational.
