Charles Blow, the New York Times’ visual op-ed columnist, will give a talk titled “Journalism and Justice: A Look at the Trayvon Martin Case” at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Cornell University’s Lewis Auditorium in Goldwin Smith Hall.
Following the tragedy, Blow wrote in his weekly column about Martin’s family, race and the judicial system, and the burden of black self-consciousness. He was featured on programs such as HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell” and “The Last Word.”
The event is hosted by the American Studies Program of Cornell. The event is free and open to the public.
