The Ithaca College School of Business closed Sept. 12 due to electrical problems. There was no access to any offices or classrooms in the building, and all classes were cancelled for the remainder of the day.
The building reopened at 4 p.m. Sept. 12. Monday’s classes will be held as scheduled.
Sergeant Ron Hart of patrol and security services at the Office of Public Safety said the building’s electrical problems were a result of a power outage that occurred the night of Sept. 11. He said the power was out throughout the entire building.
Laurenda Denmark, communications specialist for patrol and security services, said faculty and students were not allowed to enter the building, even with an escort from Public Safety.
