The Hammond Health Center has announced that there has been a surge of influenza cases on campus. According to a notice sent out by the Health Center, there were 25 confirmed cases of influenza on Jan. 27 and 28.
The Health Center will be holding a walk-in flu vaccine clinic from 2–4 p.m. Jan. 30. The clinic will be open to all students, faculty and staff. Students can also contact the Health Center to schedule a time to come in for a vaccination.
The Health Center recommends that anyone with flu-like symptoms should avoid infecting others by staying home from work or class until they have been free of a fever for 24 hours.
