Vogue Italia just released their Haute Mess editorial, which depicts runway favorites Jessica Stam, Karen Elson and Coco Rocha among others in full-on loud, tacky and trashy high fashion. The spread, which has been eagerly anticipated, has already gained some notoriety for possible “racist” depictions, since the shoot was supposedly “ghetto glam” inspired. And this isn’t your typical photo shoot; brassy hair, fake fingernails, gold teeth and bejazzled phones, plus a pregnant model are just a few of the gems in this less than classy shoot. But what do you think? Ironic social commentary? Art? Racist? Or just plain trashy? One thing’s for sure – it’s definitely worthy of the buzz it’s creating.
