The women’s crew wrapped up its regular season schedule on Saturday on Lake Onota in Pittsfield, Mass., falling in four races to host Williams College.
The Ephs, the best crew in Division III, dominated the Bombers’ four boats, but the Bombers still saw improvement from last week’s results in all of their race times. Ithaca’s first varsity 8 finished with a time of 7:22.4, about 30 seconds behind William Smith’s time of 6:58.7. The second varsity 8 finished with a similar margin, coming in at 7:42.6 to the Ephs’ 7:11.12 finish.
The third varsity 8 came in about 45 seconds behind Williams, finishing with a time of 8:24.2. The day’s closest race came once again from the novice 8 category, where Ithaca completed the race at 7:48.8, just 12 seconds behind William Smith.
The women’s crew begins postseason competition at 8 a.m. Saturday at the New York State Rowing Championships in Whitney Point, N.Y.
