Ithaca College and Longview partnership celebrates 25 years

Ithaca College and Longview Senior Living Community celebrated the 25th anniversary of partnership through educational opportunities for both students of the college and residents of the community.

IC-Longview partnership engages non-traditional audiences with improved speaker series

The Gerontology Institute at Ithaca College and Longview Senior Living Community have been participating in an ongoing partnership since 1999. A part of this 25-year partnership includes a speaker series that involves the college’s community volunteering their time to give presentations — ranging anywhere from traditional lectures to musical performances — to Longview residents. 
Jerry Mirskin, a retired Ithaca College professor, leads a creative non-fiction writing workshop for students and residents at Longview which will run until May 3.

Jerry Mirskin, a retired Ithaca College professor, has been teaching the creative nonfiction writing workshop to the residents every Tuesday since March 15.
Longview, a senior living community located across the street from campus on Bella Vista Dr., has maintained a relationship with the college for over 20 years.
