Angry Birds: The Movie

I will never look at a game of Angry Birds the same again.

Rooster Teeth Productions, an Austin-based company known for its live action short films, has just released the trailer for Angry Birds: The Movie and it’s everything you’ve ever wanted an Angry Birds flick to be, that is, if you’ve ever wanted an Angry Birds movie to exist (I won’t hold it against you).

The spoof trailer turns the addictive iPhone app into a wartime thriller in which government military forces tap into a secret arsenal of bird power to take down fortresses run by evil pigs.

If you know anything about the Angry Birds game and people who play it, you know that some players take it pretty seriously as one of the most viable time-wasters ever created for humans in the 21st Century. This trailer expounds on that feverish game alliance and makes it into something hilarious. Check it out for yourself below.

In the meantime, I’m still trying to get past the first set of levels…don’t judge. Big thumbs and short attention span do not an Angry Birds champion make.

Check it out yourself and let me know what you think.
