Laundry machine malfunctions inconvenience students

As washing machines and dryers in Ithaca College residence halls have been consistently out of order in Fall 2025, students have expressed frustrations with the faulty laundry facilities, leaving them inconvenienced since their arrival at the college in August.

Heating in campus buildings to be restored after repair of broken natural gas pipeline

A broken natural gas pipeline at Ithaca College resulted in the shutoff of heat and the creation of new hot water supply in multiple campus buildings. The college anticipates that the shutoff will continue through midday Dec. 7.

Faculty Council discusses cybersecurity policy

Five professors receive AI mini-grant for work with artificial intelligence

TeraWulf AI data center set to proceed construction without yearlong delay

The Lansing Town Board began its Nov. 19 meeting with a unanimous vote to withdraw the proposal for a one-year moratorium on construction projects within its jurisdiction. The moratorium threatened to delay the construction of the data center by at least a year, but this vote will allow Maryland-based technology company TeraWulf to proceed with its plans for the center.

Filmmaker and IC Dining Services employee Ira McKinley perseveres

Ira McKinley, filmmaker, Ithaca College Dining Services employee and lifelong activist, says he has never been afraid to speak his mind. The 61-year-old man was born in Pahokee, Florida — which was the setting of his 2022 award-winning documentary “Outta the Muck,” — and grew up in Ithaca’s Southside neighborhood.
