The St. John Fisher University Cardinals’ relentless march to the free-throw line proved to be the dagger for the Ithaca College women’s basketball team, as the Cardinals cashed in on 79% of their 34 attempts to secure a hard-fought 73-67 victory.
It was truly a great day to be a Bomber as the No. 22 Ithaca College volleyball team on Nov. 16 dismantled the William Smith Herons for their third straight Liberty League title in three sets by scores of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-15.
The No. 22 Ithaca College volleyball team delivered a masterclass in the Liberty League Championship semifinals Nov. 15, steamrolling the RIT Tigers in three decisive sets — 25-10, 25-21, 25-16 — to keep their championship hopes alive.

As Mark Twain once said, “It’s not about the size of the dog in the fight. It’s about the size of the fight in the dog.” That was the theme Nov. 13 as an undersized yet scrappy Ithaca College men’s basketball squad defended the Ben Light Gymnasium in their home opener against its rival, the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons.
The Ithaca College and SUNY Cortland football teams renewed their rivalry in the 65th annual Cortaca Jug game on Nov. 16, with the Bombers falling to the Red Dragons, 28-17.
It was a fierce battle on opening night, but the Ithaca College women’s basketball team came up just short against the SUNY Cortland Red Dragons on Nov. 14, dropping the match 65-60.

While many know about the Cortaca Jug between Ithaca College and Cortland football, the Cortaca Tub between the two college’s swimming and diving programs is another annual rivalry that made its return to the water Nov. 9.
On a rainy, windy and muddy day, the Ithaca College women’s soccer team managed to slip by the William Smith College Herons on Nov. 10, winning 3-2 in a penalty shootout to claim the Liberty League Championship.
After being named runner-up in 2021 and 2023, the No. 22 Ithaca College field hockey team finally captured its first-ever Liberty League title. The Bombers defeated the No. 20 University of Rochester Yellowjackets 2-0, in a rainy championship matchup Nov. 10 at Higgins Stadium.
It was a tale of two matches for the No. 19 Ithaca College volleyball team on senior day, as they were swept by the Cortland Red Dragons before returning the favor against the Nazareth University Golden Flyers on Nov. 9.
The Ithaca College football team gave its senior leaders a proper sendoff by annihilating St. Lawrence University Nov. 9, making their final home game of the season a 41-0 victory. The Bombers came into the game with their playoff lives on the line, needing a defining win in order to stay in the hunt for a postseason bid.
The Ithaca College women’s soccer team dominated early, scoring within minutes against the Skidmore College Thoroughbreds on Nov. 8. The Bombers’ 2-0 win secures them a spot in the Liberty League Championship.
