Softball splits home opener doubleheader with Nazareth

The Ithaca College softball team experienced a handful of ups and downs April 8 in a doubleheader against the Nazareth University Golden Flyers. After a crushing 14-10 loss in game one, the Bombers rallied to steal the win 6-5 in game two. With the split, the Bombers moved to 11-6 on the season while the Golden Flyers moved to 10-8. 
Senior goalkeeper Andrew Minard makes a highlight save in the 9-8 win against No. 6 ranked Rochester Institute of Technology April 8 at Higgins Stadium. Minard contributed to the upset with 13 saves, one of his best performances of the season.

Men’s lacrosse stuns No. 6 team under the spotlight

The unranked Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team showed out in primetime to defeat the No.6  nationally ranked Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers 9-8 at Higgins Stadium. The Bombers’ defense pumped the brakes on the Liberty League’s top offense to grab the first victory against the Tigers since 2016 and the second in 16 years. 
Sophomore attacker Kelly Kilbourn contributes to the stellar offensive performance in the 22-1 win against Bard College April 3 at Higgins Stadium. The Bombers stayed hot the next day, defeating Vassar College 18-6.

Women’s lacrosse roster contributes to back-to-back blowout wins

The Ithaca College women’s lacrosse team secured its fourth and fifth Liberty League victories of the season April 3 and 4, defeating the Bard College Raptors 22-1 and Vassar College Brewers 18-6 at Higgins Stadium. After a season defined by narrow margins and overtime thrillers, the Bombers utilized dominant first-half offensive explosions to put the games out of reach early and provide reprieve for a squad accustomed to playing until the final whistle.

Baseball swept after 3 game win streak

The Ithaca College baseball team was swept at the hands of the Rochester Institute of Technology Tigers in a three-game series April 3-4, played in Rochester, New York and Auburn, New York. After a 13-3 blowout loss in game one, IC dropped a 12-11 thriller in game two, followed by a 10-8 loss in game three.
Sophomore first baseman Ethan Fantel homers on a fly ball to left field in a 17-10 rubber match win over Clarkson University on March 30. Fantel’s nine RBIs helped drive an IC offense that produced 32 runs in the series.

Baseball wins weekend series with red hot offense

The Ithaca College baseball team grabbed two wins over the Clarkson University Golden Knights in a three-game series March 29 and 30. After scoring one run in the first game, the Bombers responded with 31 total runs over the next two games.

First home game for women’s lacrosse brings a disappointing loss in double overtime

After fighting into double overtime, the No. 23 Ithaca College women’s lacrosse fell 15-14 to the University of Scranton Royals on March 7 at Higgins Stadium. The Bombers held a steady lead from the middle of the first quarter into the fourth quarter, but could not hang on to the No. 17 Division III team. The team’s first home game of 2026 also marked its first loss of the season.
Senior attacker Brendan Occhino circles back around the defender towards the goal in the 9-8 win against Nazareth University March 4 at Higgins Stadium. Occhino and senior attacker Tim Rogers both led the Bombers in scoring with two goals apiece.

Dominant third quarter drives men’s lacrosse to first home win of 2026

The Ithaca College men’s lacrosse team opened up its home season with a down to the wire 9-8 win against the Nazareth University Golden Flyers on March 4 at Higgins Stadium, bumping their record to 2-2. The Bombers’ productive third quarter was essential, producing five out of the nine goals and allowing just one.
