In the 2024-25 season, the Ithaca College gymnastics team sent six individual athletes to the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association National Championships, but it was not quite enough to qualify them as a team. This year, they are looking to the experienced veterans and eager first-year athletes to take them to the championship as a unit.

The Ithaca College men’s wrestling team opened its season at the Ithaca Invitational on Nov. 7 and 8 in dominant fashion, pinning down a first place team finish, five champions and one outstanding wrestler.
After a 19-10 season that included the Liberty League Championship Tournament — its first since 2020 — and a trip to the second round of the NCAA Division lll Championships, the Ithaca College men’s basketball team is looking to build on its success and prove that last year’s run was no coincidence.
This season, the Ithaca College women’s basketball team sets out to avenge last season’s shortcomings. Through guard-heavy lineups and a defensive centered mindset, the Bombers are determined to follow their mantra and leave their own legacy.
With exciting new talent and experienced athletes gearing up for their swan song, the Ithaca College men’s swimming and diving team is eyeing the Liberty League title that continues to elude it.
The Ithaca College women’s swimming and diving team is ramping up for its sixth consecutive Liberty League Championship Tournament campaign after finding success on South Hill and at the NCAA Division III Championship.
For the first time in nearly 15 years, the Ithaca College women’s basketball team will take on a Division I opponent during its season-opener against the DI Colgate University Raiders.
After the Ithaca College women’s soccer team won the Liberty League Championship Tournament and made a run to the NCAA semifinals in 2024, one of the most important questions of the offseason was who would replace star goalkeeper Grace Hickey ’25. This fall, sophomore Katrina Varnum has been making her case to be the one.
Ever since three-year starting quarterback A.J. Wingfield ’23 graduated from the Ithaca College football program, the team has brought in numerous quarterbacks to try to keep it moving forward. This has led to three starting quarterbacks in the past two seasons, all finding unique ways to contribute to wins on the field.
The Ithaca College football team rebounded strongly in a 49-7 thumping of the Buffalo State Bengals on Senior Day, Nov. 1 at Butterfield Stadium. The win keeps the Bombers’ hope of bringing home a Liberty League Championship title alive.

The No. 12 ranked Ithaca College volleyball team played its final regular season game at Ben Light Gymnasium, staying undefeated at home with a shutout win against the University of Scranton Royals on Oct. 29. The Bombers won their 16th game in a row, bringing their overall record to 20-3.
Ithaca College introduced its newly built track on the morning of Oct. 25, named “Egan Family Track & Field Complex.” The new track was made possible by donations from the Egan family. The athletics department has chosen not to share the amount donated. The Bombers will now be able to host outdoor track meets, something that has not happened since 2016 at the former track around Butterfield Stadium.
