The Ithaca College gymnastics team lost on senior day by the largest margin all season to the SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles and SUNY Cortland Red Dragons at the annual Harriett Marranca Invitational in Ben Light Gymnasium Feb. 8.Â
The Ithaca College women's basketball team fell to 7-14 after losses to two separate Liberty League opponents Feb. 6 and Feb. 7. A close loss Friday night led to a tired Bombers squad stumbling defensively on Saturday.Â
The Ithaca College men’s basketball team failed to capture the win on senior day after squeezing out a close victory in a pair of home Liberty League matchups Feb. 6 and Feb. 7. With four regular season games remaining, the Bombers sit in fifth place in the Liberty League, good enough for a playoff spot, but not enough to host a playoff game.
In the corner of the Ben Light Gymnasium, a digital clock serves as a relentless metronome, counting down the days, hours and minutes until regionals for the Ithaca College men’s wrestling team. While the red numbers tick toward zero, the atmosphere in the room shifted from the quiet frustration of December to a high-velocity intensity.Â
The Ithaca College men’s and women’s swim and dive teams have been some of the college’s most successful athletic programs since the school joined the Liberty League in 2017-18, with the women’s team hunting down a school record seventh consecutive Liberty League Championship Tournament title. The key to each team’s success, according to the athletes, is their team chemistry.

After the thrilling 2025 Cortaca victory Nov. 15, most football players entered the offseason ready to rest, recover and regroup. But six athletes had 20 days to gear up for another competition in an entirely different sport: track and field.Â
After a grueling home stretch against some of the top programs in the country, the No. 23 Ithaca College men’s wrestling team walked away with a mix of results that underscored both their resilience and the technical work still ahead.Â

Brandon Maguire has been named the next head coach of the Ithaca College football team Feb. 3. Maguire has served as the Bombers’ offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach since 2024, helping lead the team to a 14-6 record the past two seasons.

Ithaca College gymnastics placed first in a tri-meet against the Rhode Island College Anchormen and the Springfield College Pride on Feb. 1 in the Ben Light Gymnasium. The Bombers emerged on top with 189.575, the Anchormen settled in second at 187.900 and the Pride fell to the bottom of the podium with 186.800.Â

In the first meet of the 2025-26 season, senior Grace Murray engraved her name into Ithaca College gymnastics history, tying the program record vault score with a 9.800 score Jan. 10 against SUNY Brockport. Murray added her name in the record book next to Carolyn Nichols ’19, who surpassed the previous mark in 2018.Â
The first season of Ithaca College women’s wrestling is in full swing and first-year wrestler Delaney Bisaillon has been the first star to emerge from the program. Her 18-2 record through Jan. 25 only reveals a part of her dominance this season.

After winning a Liberty League Championship in the 2024-25 season, the Ithaca College men’s basketball team has struggled to win games consistently. As of Jan. 22, the Bombers have compiled a 5-10 record and have failed to produce a winning streak under new head coach Mike McSloy.Â
