The Ithaca College gymnastics team opened its season at home against the Ursinus College Bears in a dual matchup 189.950-188.475 Jan. 18 in the Ben Light Gymnasium. The Bombers had their strongest performance on floor exercise, totaling an impressive score of 48.700 and averaging 9.740.

The Ithaca College men’s basketball team is now 5-10 and 4-4 in the Liberty League after a series of weekend conference matchups against the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers and the Bard College Raptors on Jan. 16 and 17 at the Ben Light Gymnasium.
Ithaca College women’s basketball is now 7-8 after wrapping up a five game home stand with a pair of Liberty League games Jan. 16 and 17. After a tough loss against a good opponent on Friday night, the Bombers bounced back with a blowout win Saturday afternoon.

The Ithaca College men’s basketball team made a statement victory 88-85 against the Hobart College Statesmen on Jan. 13 in the Ben Light Gymnasium, after previously falling to the Statesmen 86-66 Dec. 9.
Ithaca College women’s basketball bested the William Smith College Herons on Jan. 13 at the Ben Light Gymnasium 66-57. Junior guard Tori Drevna drove the Bombers to victory with a career-high 23 points, despite being without head coach Dan Raymond for the evening.
Ithaca College football head coach Mike Toerper is departing the program to become the defensive coordinator of Division I Cornell University football, Ithaca College announced Dec. 14.
For four years, Emma Waite tried her best to beat the Ithaca College women’s basketball team. Following her graduation from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2024, that changed when she decided to use her last year of eligibility to become one of the Bombers, being a key part of a 19-8 season. On top of being a student-athlete, Waite became a teaching assistant and is now a graduate assistant coach of the women’s basketball team.
In an effort to be crowned league champions for the first time since 2012, the Ithaca College men’s swim and dive team has found an unusual diving duo in sophomore swimmer Ignacio Fernandez-Manzano and rower Andrew Cheely.

Ithaca College Athletics announced a corporate partnership with DICK’S Sporting Goods, which will give Bomber athletes the opportunity to connect with the community. All levels of athletics — varsity, club and intramural — can get discounts on sports equipment through “Shop with the Bombers” events.
For seven Ithaca College athletics teams, their competitive seasons last only from mid-August to early November. In that time in 2025, new faces stepped into new roles, storylines evolved and Bombers victories occurred. Coming off a tough road loss to Western New England University on Nov. 22, the Ithaca College men’s Basketball team fought for a win against the University of Rochester Yellowjackets in the Ben Light Gymnasium on Dec. 2 but fell short 104-95 in an overtime thriller.
The Ithaca College women's basketball team could not stop the offensive attack of the University of Rochester, falling 80-70 Dec. 2 at Ben Light Gymnasium. The loss drops the Bombers to 2-4 in what was their season’s home opener. With the win, the Yellowjackets extend their win streak to four straight and climb to 4-3 on the season. The Bombers have surrendered 70 or more points in four of their six games, losing all four.
