Katy O'Brian has her star turn in a lineup of standout cast members in Rose Glass’ sophomore film “Love Lies Bleeding” which just received its wide release March 15. Not to say that the Kristen Stewart renaissance will not be in full swing after this movie, but it is wonderful to see someone come into their own on screen. In addition to the stellar leads, the film has excellent direction, symbolism and all-around strong performances from the entire cast.
Junior Pitcher Colin Leyner holds the mound down for the Bombers. In seven inning pitched, Leyner struck out seven batters and only allowed five total hits.

Food insecurity is a global issue that impacts countless communities. According to Feeding America, 14% of Tompkins County is food insecure, affecting 14,500 individuals. It is essential that resources go toward addressing this pressing issue.

Since the end of the 2023 Ithaca College Bombers’ football season, All-American graduate student defensive back Derek Slywka has been training to get a shot in the National Football League. 
Ed Tech Day was originally canceled in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be the 30th Ed Tech Day since the event was founded in 1991.

Leeds-based post-punk rockers Yard Act arrived on the scene to near-universal acclaim between 2021’s “Dark Days” EP and their 2022 debut album, “The Overload.” The latter project generated enough buzz to command a number two debut on the UK Albums Chart. The band’s political messaging and dry wit can come off incredibly heavy-handed at times on these projects, doubly so for lead vocalist James Smith, but this seems to have been counteracted with the March 1 release of “Where’s My Utopia?” through a complete reinvention of sound.

Riding the high of his ABBA cover “Slipping Through My Fingers,” which amassed over 5 million streams on Spotify, Declan McKenna makes a comeback with his new album “What Happened to the Beach?” released Feb. 9. The cover is still only a fraction of streams compared to his most popular song, “Brazil,” which has over 400 million streams. The British singer/songwriter has accumulated 6.8 million listeners on Spotify since 2014, releasing two albums and 22 singles in the meantime.

Ithaca College is offering Cultural Entrepreneurship, a one-credit mini-course from Feb. 16 to 18 to teach students about the resources and tools available to help begin their entrepreneurial journey while still in college. The course will feature five guest speakers, all of whom are alumni of color who attended the college.
