Charges added to drug arrests

The Office of Public Safety pressed six additional charges yesterday against nonstudent Jake Milo, who was arrested Dec. 10 in Landon Hall after Public Safety officers found what they believed to be cocaine in his possession.

Laura Durling, assistant director of patrol and security services, said Milo was also charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon; one count of unlawful dealing of fireworks; one count of criminal possession of a

weapon on school grounds; another count of criminal possession of a controlled substance; and unlawful possession of marijuana. All of the charges are misdemeanors except possession of marijuana, which is a violation. Durling said Milo was in possession of brass knuckles, a garrote and an air pistol.

Freshman Sarah Bitely, who was arrested with Milo, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in December. She now faces an additional charge of unlawful possession of marijuana. Bitely will be arraigned in Ithaca Town Court this morning. Milo is due to appear Feb. 15.
