Eating local food is nothing new. But in today’s world of big business farming and the convenience of the supermarket, it’s definitely not as common. Thanks to media attention about its environmental and societal impacts, in just the past few years the local food movement has amassed a following and has begun to popularize across the country and especially in Tompkins County.
