The Ithaca Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred at 12:46 a.m. Aug. 31 on the 300 block of Hillview Place, according to a department press release.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers located the victim, who had been stabbed in the abdomen but who could not identify the perpetrator. Police are searching for a Chrysler 300 sedan of light blue or grey color in connection with the crime.
Bangs Ambulance relieved the officers who were aiding with medical treatment and transported the victim to a nearby medical facility.
