Park School associate dean leaving Ithaca College

Virginia Mansfield-Richardson has been an associate dean in the Roy H. Park School of Communications since 1999.

Virginia Mansfield-Richardson, associate dean of the Roy H. Park School of Communications, has accepted a job at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Mansfield-Richardson will be serving as an associate provost at the Geneva, New Yorkbased college.

She has spent the last 16 years as an associate dean. Prior to that, she spent time as a professor at Pennsylvania State University and a staff writer at The Washington Post.

Diane Gayeski, dean of the Park School, praised Mansfield-Richardson for her work at the school.

Virginia has been instrumental in leading the expansion of the school’s fast-changing curriculum and for coordinating our support for student and faculty research and creative activity,” Gayeski said.
Mansfield-Richardson will start her new position Oct. 19.
