Provost resigns to assume new role at college

Kathleen Rountree, provost and vice president of academic affairs, plans to resign from her position, effective May 31, according to an Intercom announcement posted by president Thomas Rochon today.

The announcement states that Rountree plans to take up her tenured position as a professor in the School of Music. The announcement also states that Rountree will “fulfill the other duties of a faculty member on a 50 percent schedule for 2010-2011” but will assume the full-time job in Performance Studies after next year.

The provost was unavailable for comment.
