Public Safety investigates series of burglaries

A string of burglaries took place on campus in the past week, prompting the Office of Public Safety to initiate several investigations across Ithaca College.

Two Apple computers were stolen between 3 p.m. Friday and 8:40 p.m. Sunday from the first floor main hallway in Job Hall. In another theft, two computers and two overhead projectors were stolen between 6 a.m. Monday and 9 a.m. Tuesday from two different classrooms in Friends Hall.

At least one of the rooms in Friends Hall was locked, but there was no sign of forced entry.

A burglary also occurred between June 28 and June 29 in Lyon Hall, when an unknown person entered and stole a mini DJ mixer.

Public Safety could not be reached immediately for comment.

Anyone with information should contact Public Safety at 274-3333.
