Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief 

LOCATION: Bogart Hall 334 Grant Egbert Blvd.

SUMMARY: An officer reported an unknown person damaged an exit sign. Sergeant Jon Elmore responded. 

 

Medical Assist/Injury Related

LOCATION: 100 Flora Brown Drive

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person had fainted and hit their head when they fell. The person declined medical assistance and reported they would have a friend transport them to the hospital. Master Patrol Officer Waylon Degraw responded.

LOCATION: Lyon Hall 412 Grant Egbert Blvd. 

SUMMARY: Caller reported that a person made alarming statements to harm themselves. The person was taken into custody under New York state’s Mental Hygiene Law and was transported to a hospital by ambulance. Sergeant Don Lyke responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported third-hand information that a person was being bullied. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

LOCATION: 692 Third Street

SUMMARY: Officer reported an unknown person had cut the lock off doors of storage sheds. Patrol Officer Bruce Hall responded.  

 

Accidental Fire Alarm 

LOCATION: 121 College Circle

SUMMARY: Simplex reported fire alarm. Officer reported the activation was caused by steam from the bathroom. Patrol Officer Kevin McClain responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported third-hand information that one person groped another person while they were walking. Patrol Officer Mayra Colon responded.

LOCATION: North of 116 Flora Brown Drive

SUMMARY: Caller reported that a vehicle was leaking hydraulic fluid. Staff from the Office of Environmental Health and Safety reported the vehicle was removed and the area was cleaned. Charlie Sherman, fire and building safety coordinator, responded to the call.

SUMMARY: Caller reported an unknown vehicle damaged a parked vehicle and left the scene. Master Patrol Officer Bob Jones responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported they were choking on food. The person was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Sergeant Don Lyke responded.

Unlawful Possession of Marijuana

SUMMARY: The Office of Public Safety received a narcan cabinet alert activation. Officer found no one in need of medical assistance. Officer referred one person to conduct for unlawful possession of marijuana, underage possession of alcohol and responsibility of guests. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person separated from a group who could not be located. The Ithaca Police Department had also been notified with the person’s last known location. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

SUMMARY: Ithaca Police Department reported a location for a missing person. An officer from Ithaca College responded to that location and confirmed the person was safe and that they needed no further assistance. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

SUMMARY: Tompkins County 911 Center reported that a person was having difficulty breathing. Officers determined the person was having an anxiety attack and the symptoms subsided. The person declined medical assistance from ambulance staff. Sergeant Jon Elmore responded.

LOCATION: 143 Tower Skyline Drive

SUMMARY: Caller reported third-hand information that an unknown person damaged a washing machine. Officer determined the damage appears to have come from something inside the machine accidentally damaging the glass door and not a person. Master Patrol Officer Waylon Degraw responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported water flooded the lower portion of a room causing damage. Master Patrol Officer Waylon Degraw responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported third-hand information that unknown person damaged exit sign. Officer determined the exit sign was not damaged but came loose from the ceiling bracket. Maintenance responded to reattach. Master Patrol Officer Bob Jones responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported third-hand information that an unknown person wrote comments on paper on bulletin board papers. Sergeant Jon Elmore responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported person fell and hit their head. The determined person had struck their head on a shelf next to their bed when they sat up. Person declined medical assistance from ambulance staff. Patrol Officer Bruce Hall responded.
