Suspicious Circumstances  

LOCATION: 113 Campus Center Way 

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person used a college-issued ID without permission. An officer determined the person used the ID accidentally. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

LOCATION: 341 College Circle Lane 

SUMMARY: A caller reported that another person had sent alarming text messages. The responding officer located the person and reported that the person was determined not to be a threat to themselves or others. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded to the call.

LOCATION: South of 143-151 Tower Skyline Drive 

SUMMARY: Caller reported that an unknown person stole a parking sign. Patrol Officer Mayra Colon responded to the scene.

SUMMARY: A caller reported that a person was vomiting. Master Patrol Officer Bob Jones responded and the person declined assistance.

SUMMARY: Caller reported that a person had a seizure. The person was transported to a hospital by ambulance. Patrol Officer Mayra Colon responded to the scene. 

 

Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 

LOCATION: 150 Lyceum Drive 

SUMMARY: Caller reported people were smoking marijuana on a balcony. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa referred one person for possession.

Accidental Fire Alarm 

LOCATION: 412 Grant Egbert Blvd. 

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a fire alarm was activated. An officer reported alarm activation was caused by room being too warm. Sergeant Jon Elmore responded.

LOCATION: 146 Conservatory Drive 

SUMMARY: Caller reported an unknown person drew a swastika on the window. Patrol Officer Sophia Dimkos responded.

Suspicious Circumstances 

LOCATION: 318 Grant Egbert Blvd. 

SUMMARY: A caller reported that people took chairs out of a building. Officer reported area checked and was unable to locate any people in the area. Officer returned the chair to the building. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded to the scene.

LOCATION: Conservatory Drive 

SUMMARY: A caller notified an officer of a two-car property damage motor vehicle accident. Sergeant Don Lyke responded to the accident scene.

Third Degree Criminal Trespass

LOCATION: 326 Grant Egbert Blvd. 

SUMMARY: Caller reported that a person had walked into another resident’s room and passed out in a bed. Officer reported the person was transported to a hospital by ambulance and referred for irresponsible use of alcohol. Master Patrol Officer Joseph Opper responded.

LOCATION: 284 Lyceum Drive 

SUMMARY: A caller reported that there was an intoxicated person in the bathroom. Officer reported that the person was brought to a hospital by ambulance and was referred for irresponsible use of alcohol. Master Patrol Officer Jon Elmore responded.

SUMMARY: Several fictitious licenses were located inside a wallet that was given to the Office of Public Safety. Sergeant Jon Elmore responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported that a person made threats to harm themselves. The person was taken into custody under New York state’s Mental Hygiene Law and transported to a hospital by ambulance. Patrol Officer Bruce Hall responded.

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Officer reported the alarm was caused by burnt food. Master Patrol Officer Bob Jones responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown person demanded payment from caller in return for not revealing compromising or damaging information about them on social media. Master Joseph Opper responded.

SUMMARY: Officer reported a person fell on the sidewalk due to icy conditions. Officer reported that the person complained of pain on their left side. Patrol Officer Mayra Colon.

SUMMARY: Person reported receiving unwanted contact, emails and text messages from another person. Lieutenant Michael Nelson.

SUMMARY: Caller requested assistance in taking a person into custody under New York State Mental Hygiene Law 9.45. Officer reported person transported to hospital by ambulance. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person banging on the door and verbally harassing them due to a parking dispute Patrol Officer Bruce Hall.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person complaining of pain in right leg due to preexisting condition. Person transported to hospital by ambulance staff. Patrol Officer Sophia Dimkos.

SUMMARY: EH&S reported unknown person damaged exit sign. Patrol Officer Kevin McClain responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown persons in the area walking around residences. Officer reported persons located and are affiliated with the college. Patrol Kevin McClain responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person yelled at them from a vehicle during an incident on a roadway. Officer reported one person was referred for harassment. Sergeant Bryan Bryan Verzosa.

SUMMARY: Caller reported third hand information that a person drew an offensive image in class. Officer reported the person was referred for violation of the student conduct code for personal respect and safety. Patrol Officer Mayra Colon responded.

SUMMARY: The Office of Environmental Health and Safety reported a smoke detector was found during a fire alarm drill that was covered. Multiple residents were referred for tampering with fire alarm equipment. Charlie Sherman, fire and building safety coordinator, responded to the report of the covered detector.

SUMMARY: Officer reported intoxicated person passed out in vehicle. Officer secured the area until New York state police arrived. Master Patrol Officer Joseph Opper responded.

SUMMARY: Student conduct office reported seven people were referred for under age possession of alcohol. Lieutenant Michael Nelson responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a highly intoxicated person. Officer reported the person was conscious and declined medical assistance. Officer referred person for irresponsible use of alcohol. Patrol Officer Bruce Hall responded.

SUMMARY: Officers observed a vehicle parked with people sitting inside. Officer reported the people were warned to park in a proper space. Master Patrol Officer Joseph Opper responded.
