LOCATION: East Tower/ 143 Tower Skyline Drive

SUMMARY: A third-party caller reported that a person was experiencing abdominal pain. Officer reported that the person was transported by ambulance to a hospital. Patrol Officer Kevin McClain responded.

 

Scheme to Defraud/ Second Degree 

LOCATION: Holmes Hall/ 288 Lyceum Drive 

SUMMARY: Caller reported unknown person attempting to extort the caller through social media. Master Patrol Officer Bob Jones responded.

LOCATION: Office of Public Safety/ 122 Farm Pond Road

SUMMARY: Officer reported a broken window frame. Sergeant Jon Elmore responded.

SUMMARY: An officer reported two signs damaged due to high winds. The Office of Facilities was notified to replace the damaged signs. Patrol Officer Kevin McClain responded.

SUMMARY: The Office of Student Conduct reported that one person was referred for underage possession of alcohol. Lieutenant Michael Nelson responded.

LOCATION: Lower Quad/ Grant Egbert Blvd.

SUMMARY: Caller reported that an unknown person had damaged a generator. Master Patrol Officer Bob Jones responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person tripped and fell, injuring their knee. Officer reported that the injured person declined medical assistance. Master Patrol Officer Bob Jones responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person knowingly failed to return a laptop computer. Patrol Officer Kevin McClain responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported pain and swelling to their knee as a result of falling on stairs due to slippery conditions. Officer reported that the fall occurred March 9. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported finding drug paraphernalia during health and safety checks. Officer reported six people to be referred to student conduct for violation of the college’s drug policy. Master Patrol Officer Bob Jones responded.

SUMMARY: Simplex reported a fire alarm. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded and reported the alarm activation was caused by burnt food.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag and hanger. Officer reported the plastic bag and hanger was removed from the detector. The Office of Residential Life referred residents to student conduct for causing a fire-safety hazard. Sergeant Jon Elmore responded.

SUMMARY: Officer reported unknown person damaged a light fixture. Patrol Officer Bruce Hall responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported finding marijuana and drug paraphernalia during health and safety checks. Officer reported one person to be referred to student conduct for unlawful possession of marijuana. Patrol Officer Mayra Colon responded.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person sledding appeared to have collided with a tree. Officer reported the person was not affiliated with the college and that they had left the area to seek medical treatment prior to the officer’s arrival. Patrol Officer Mayra Colon responded.

SCC Irresponsible Use of Alcohol/ Drugs

LOCATION: Eastman Hall/ Grant Egbert Blvd.

SUMMARY: Caller reported a highly intoxicated person. Officer reported the person was taken into custody under New York state’s Mental Hygiene Law and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. Person reported to be judicially referred for irresponsible use of alcohol. Sergeant Jon Elmore responded.

 

Suspicious Circumstance 

LOCATION: 692 Third Street

SUMMARY: Officer reported unknown person attempted to gain access to a secured area. Sergeant Bryan Verzosa responded.
