In “This Week in Social Media,” we collected community tweets about the weather and the worms.
The worms aren’t saving themselves from drowning, nor are they committing suicide by surfacing during rain storms and scattering along sidewalks. Soil experts hypothesize that earthworms surface for migration purposes because they can move further distances when the ground is wet.
