Ithaca College professor files Title IX lawsuit claiming anti-LGBTQ+ environment

Brad Hougham, a professor in the Department of Music Performance, filed a civil lawsuit against Ithaca College on April 30. Hougham, through his attorneys, claims that he experienced a “hostile sexual environment” and anti-LGBTQ+ work environment on campus. 
Rakin “Rock” Hall, vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Success, said that as of May 6, the college has received 1,248 deposits from incoming students for the 2025-26 academic year.
Faculty Council elects new executive committee and discusses enrollment

The Ithaca College Faculty Council met May 6 for its last meeting of the 2024-25 academic year to hear an update on the college’s enrollment from Rakin “Rock” Hall, vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Success, amid other agenda items.

SGC confirms members to vacant positions in final meeting of the semester

The Ithaca College Student Governance Council met May 5 for its last meeting of the semester and the first with the newly elected members of the council. Rishabh Sen, president of the student body, introduced confirmations in which new members who did not run in the elections get voted into their new roles.
The 2025 awards recognized the work of Jewish Currents and San Francisco Public Press along with journalists Steve Mellon, Maximillian Alvarez and Mohammad Mhawish.
Izzy Award Ceremony held at Ithaca College to recognize independent media

On April 30, the 17th annual Izzy Award Ceremony was back in person at Ithaca College after being held via Zoom for six years because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Ithaca College baseball team fell to the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers in the final game of the Liberty League Championship Tournament on May 11 at Booth Field. The Bombers will continue their fight for the title next season.
